Mturner, do you have a 4 speed or auto. And if its a 4 speed how are them gears working for you I am going to 44 inch bogger and i have 4.10's right now and want to go to eith 4.56's, 4.88's or 5.13's. I was wondering how yours do.
4 speed, and shes way UNDERGEARED... I wish I had 5.13's!!! I mean around town she is barable and off-road she's ok, but shes lacking power for sure. The majority of well built trucks I've seen with 44's have at least 5.13, but then again they mostly run C6 auto's
YES..... the way mine looks now is you can't see any gear tooth. it is almost completely filled in with weld. overkill? of course... but i wanted to make sure i could pound the hell outta it and not worry!
lincoln locked rear? on the street? you're gonna snap some axles. Save the money and get an ARB air locker or similar on demand locker. Also, like spools, Lincoln locking is illegal for on the road applications in most states.
i always go by the old marine motto when welding... two is one- one is none... therefore i double the weld i think i'm gonna need!!!! five extra pounds of rod never hurt anybody's diff before, as long as there's room for the axles to slip into place.. LMAO
