00' 350 Grinding

I have a 2000 350SD that grinds when downshifted to 2nd. I was told that these tranny's are tough to rebuild any truth to that? It also makes a whining noise while under load at higher speeds. Is it rebuild time?

Sounds like you need some tranny work ,See Brians Truck shop

Not a big deal to rebuild. They all are $$$$. Best thing is to take it to a good tranny shop for a diag..Might no be that bad.
