Is there a way to make the glass on the front passenger door seal tighter to the felt strips? I guess what I am asking is if there is a way to adjust the track of the window. I have some pretty bad wind noise coming in from around the window.
I took my X in under warrenty for a similar problem with Wind noise and they replaced the regulators. That was in October of 03 and have not had an issue since.
Thanks, I hope those are not too expesive because I have a 03 with 120,000. As you can see I drive a lot of miles and I HATE the small little noises that drive you insane. I have fixed all the other rattles and this is the only one that remains.
I do not have a soultion for firming up the window to the felt...but...
There was a thread suggesting using 1/4 inch plastic tubing inserted into the rubber gaskets (full length) around each door/window opening including the rear.
I did this on my X and it works perfectly. The road and wind noise is significantly reduced and the doors shut firmer.
It is a very inexpensive yet effective solution. I hope that helps a little.
