Grab yourself some bolt ons. Better yet grab a supercharger
Can try exhaust, chips, stuff like that!

The best thing you can do to help your engine is to allow it to breath and exhale better. The best way to do that is to put on an intake kit and an exhaust. Together, you can expect around a 40 horsepower increase depending on what kind of products you decide on. Hope this helps

bolt on stuff to get more air flow thru the motor will get you some horse power at wide open throttle, maybe 4-5000 RPM. It will not help at 1500--2500 rpm where the motor normally runs. on acceleration the bigger motor will be faster, and pulling a load will always be better, unless you downshift 1-2 gears and run the smaller engine at max speed. that will kill your milage numbers. If you need the HP, buy a truck with a bigger motor.

Dont get caught up in HYPE! Do a search...I bet you find numerous people that put stock intakes back on after dealing with not much of a gain from cold air intakes. Exhaust will open motor a bit, sound good and look good most of all. But 40 Extra horses...way out of the question, sorry Tchernosky! Even with programmers and chips, exhaust and intakes...I would be willing to bet you barely get 10, maybe 15 at more extra horses, prob more like 5. Gears are best bet IMO...ive had them all, and as I said alot of it is HYPE. But each to their own...some people claim great gains!

An K&N intake is rated for the 4.6 at something like 13 extra hp, a good exhaust could get you 15 or so. So maybe 30 is more like it, but not 10. You must remember my mind is not working as well at night when I responded -lol

K&N site saying 13.12 hp
That is more than 10 HP right there and from my experience makes a noticable difference through most of the RPM range

The HP gains claimed in the ads are not real world.....and you can not add the mods and expect to combine the claimed additional HP...it just doesn't work that way. Add an intake, they claim 13hp....add an exhaust, they claim 15hp....you might get 15-20 combined....on a good day with a perfect tune, real world.....add a programmer and maybe get to 20-30....real world.....and that is with all three mods!
