Here is the part # for the 4" turbo clamp that connects the turbo housing and down pipe. Believe me if you don't have it you will need it and if you do have it you won't need it. Better to have it before you start then to wait 2 days to get one while your truck just sits. #4C2Z-5A231-H
Are you saying the mbrp kit does come with the clamp or what? or i need this to install that exhaust? Is that a ford pt.#?
yes that looks like it. it should be around 4'' ID inside the deepest part of the V of the clamp. yes it is a ford part number, and NO it doesn't come in the kit with the MBRP one.
THIS IS ROSCOE P COALTRAIN.. YOU GOT A COPY GENERALEE????
You're truck already has one of these on it from the factory to secure the down pipe to the turbo... IF...you can remove it without damaging it and are able to "re-apply" it with the new exhaust, then NO you don't need a new one.
IF.. you damage the factory one beyond repair while trying to remove the factory exhaust then .. YES.. you will need to purchase a NEW one!
Now.. regarding if you can "save" the factory one depends on how old your truck is, mileage, your patience with it while removing it, and various other factors will come into play here. This part # was put here for your convenience of going to the dealer and having a part # in hand to tell them what you want. If they look it up for you themselves you will probably end up with the wrong item. I'm sure many on this site have had this dealer scenario happen to them. TELL THEM WHAT YOU WANT - DON"T LET THEM TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED. Hope this clears up your concerns...
Thanks for the info guys! Im installing the kwik filter on it tonight for now. I have noticed some really good deals on exhaust through ebay lately, anyone gone that route? Ive had good luck with ebay before. What is a good place/ setup to get my gauges through? I have a standard so I dont need tranny temp. spot. Would like the pillar setup but think i only need two spots right?

I'm very happy with my pillar mounted guages. Very easy to read and they don't block hardly any of the vision. If you only want boost and EGT, you're correct that you'll only need a 2 guage pod. But, you can always go more if you wanted. Other guages you could add would be oil temp, fuel pressure, a real water temp (the factory water temp guage is just a dummy guage), or a real oil pressure guage. I have a 3 pod now since I have an automatic, but I plan on expanding to a 4 pod eventually and adding a fuel pressure guage.
