Need help finding a replacement panel

I have a 69' f100 and I am looking for the piece of sheet metal that is behind the grill that the radiator mounts to; it runs the full width of the truck. LMC catalog has it listed on the 50's models as an "air deflector". I have looked at lmc, macs. I have called both places and turned up with nothing, anyone know where I can find a new at? All help is appreciated.

I believe what you're referring too is the "radiator support" I've seen them in LMC I believe, if not they should be in JC Whitney. Or might try Dennis Carpenters, from what I hear they are good too.

Need help finding a replacement panel

LAST EDITED ON 27-Jun-01 AT 07:17 PM (EST)[p]If you can't find a NEW one then e-mail me. I'm pretty sure My dad has one or two radiator supprts. If ythat is what you are looking for. It is the part the radiator bolts to and below that it bolts to the frame and it runs the width of the front and pretty much everyting in the front bolts to it in some way? Any other hard to find parts let me know. I built my 70 F-100 mostly with parts we have at my Dad's house southwest99(No Email Addresses In Posts!) http://www.users.qwest.net/~choice87994360/newpics/truckr.jpg

This is the route I went on my 68 F100 a couple of months ago...I found (after looking at about 25 of em) a rad support in decent shape and "made" it new. I got the new rad mounting kit from LMC. Took the advice I received on this list and done a few other things such as new inners when I had things apart...

My Dad and his neighbor sell used 68-72 ford truck parts as a hobby. They are always going to junkyards and trucks being parted out and getting parts. I took the best of everything I could find to build my truck after I found a short bed F-100 with a nice bed. If you can't find a part for one of these trucks just email me they probably have it. They don't do this to make money, it's just a hobby so the prices are good.

Depending on what you need. Alot of parts are interchangable except of course body panels. They might have it or atleast know where ot get it. If you are looking for something email me at southwest99(No Email Addresses In Posts!) and I'll see what I can do.
