DVD Decoder???????? HELP!!!!!!
Im trying to watch Full Metal Jacket on my computer and it keeps saying I do not have a DVD decoder installed on my computer. I have windows XP Pro. The DVD rom is built into the computer, and worked before I reformatted a while back. My computer did not come with any disks to re install that stuff. Ive been looking online and I cant find any free downloads to fix this problem.
Does anybody know where I can download a DVD decoder that will work with Windows Media Player for free? I have no way of buying one online, I only have cash. I dont want to pay for it anyhow

Just to watch the movie you can download a Demo version.

Click on Programs/control panel/ system
Click the tab that says hardware, then click on the device manager, This will give you a list of all hardware on the system. Click on your DVD player, then properties, and try to make the troubleshoot program work.

Ok, I think I got it figgered out. Somebody sent me a link for "powerDVD" and I went there and downloaded their program, and a friend gave me the registration code. Thanks for all the replies!
Sorry I didnt reply sooner. We were having bad weather last night, and right after I started this thread my power went out and didnt come back on till almost noon today.
