p0708 code help needed

p0708 code help needed
hi there. i need help. i have a 97 f150 with a p0708 code showing - tr sensor otherwise called an mlps. have replaced the tr sensor, aligned it correctly, checked the wiring harness for damage, cleaned the connection plugs and finally today replaced the pcm. still the code comes up. i can drive it real easy going forward and it stays off, but put my foot on the gas or drive in reverse and the code comes up immediately. any ideas? thanks, brian

We are happy to have you! There is a ton of great info on this site. But, before you go snooping around there are a few things you need to do first.
1) Want to meet or talk to other members in your area? There are Provincial, State and International Chapters located near the bottom of the main forum page.

8 or 12 pin TR sensor?
Production date (month/year)?
2 or 4 wheel drive?
Transmission (E40D, 4R70, or 4R100)?
Engine?

thanks for the reply. the truck was produced 02/97. it has a 8 pin tr sensor. 2wd but i dont know the tranny type. the motor is a 4.6L v8. will try and find tranny type and let you know. thanks, brian.
