The ProJection kit I installed on a 350 Cheby had only FI hose for pressure and return, so I ASSUME (yeah, I know) FI hose would be the way to go.

Yeah, that stuff ain't cheap but it will probably outlast the truck! Are you putting in hard-pipe except at the engine and tank? The gas tank needs to be vented.

Somethin' I just remembered from that ProJection install on a '78 Regal; the return line hooked to an emissions fitting on the tank, but I had to knock out a restrictor in the fitting to ensure proper flow back to the tank. Might be worth checking into.........

Did you need to do any tuning on that carb? If I remember right, Edelbrock uses metering rods which can be a PITA.

nope it works great ...so far... the metering rods are easy as pie and the jets are easier to change than holley i did a lot of reading up before i bought the edl ....
i got the #1405 manual choke... i am shure it will need some minor tuning ... i plan on adding a fuel ratio meter so i can keep a visual on things ...

i just dont have the time to fab up all the small stuff it would take to run efi w/ out haveing a kit for my specific application ...it could be done pretty easy i just dont have the time to invest .....i was just ready to crank it and go
