I would like your thought on the tires. I am thinking about getting a set for my F150 supercrew. I tow a 16ft boat and something a 16ft trailer. I mostly drive highway miles. I am running Firestone wilderness le right now. Would the Destination be better than Wilderness? I run a 255/70/16....
Oh and it does help that I found 4 for $60 each and then $40 to mount and balance. That like $280 total... WOW!!!!
I too have the Destination LE on my Ranger. They do "sing" a little however one has to listen for it or it is not noticeable at all. When the original FR480's gave up at 85,000 I was comparing the Destination LE and the Firehawk Indy 500. Tire Rack convinced me that the Destination LE is a heavier duty tire - stiffer side wall etc than the Firehawk Indy 500. A friend has the Firehawk Indy 500's on his 2001 F-150 and has no complaints whatsoever - however he does not tow anything and I don't remember ever seeing anything in the truck bed - so.....
