knocking or diesiling

ok i posted acouple of weeks ago under the timing chain problem thread.took the explorer into ford,they said it is not timing chain but a charateristic of that engine . they gave me acopy of a tsb that says this is common diesiling noise under 2000rpm for this motor does anyone know about this and have the same problem,they swear it is not affecting the motor and will not hurt it
