Oil
Every time i start my truck or let it idle, it smells like its burning oil. I just got the oil changed yesterday thinking it would fix the issue but nothing has changed. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Put some truck info in the signature area of the quick links above please.....
Have you checked the valve cover gaskets, they will leak directly on to the exhaust manifold.....try tightening them. The shop that did the oil change did they tighten the oil filter enough......1-1.5 turns more after seal contact.

has this been a persistent problem or something new? Also, are ya sure its motor oil and not a rich dose of fuel oil? With high mileage, you may be having a problem with valve guide seals leaking or a cracked piston ring or two. A little more info about the truck will help.
