I have read in the past about replacing the weatherstriping and was wondering where the best place to get it from JCWhitney or LMC or any other places?
I picked up the door weatherstripping from Autokrafters and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. The usually run a lot of stuff on ebay so you can probably get it cheaper there than through their catalog.
You can also get all your weather stripping at your local ford dealer. As well as window felt etc. But definately price LMC truck, and auto crafters first.
I used all Dennis Carpenter rubber parts: windshield and back window, no-drafts, rear of no-drafts,and door weatherstrip. I also used their anti-rattlers. NOT ONE PART fit properly! I suggest you talk to the other suppliers, and avoid the DC parts.

I used J.C. Whitless and they seem to fit well but, when I wash the truck they get wet along the bottom. I ran a thick piece of paper along the seam there with the door closed and it doesn't feel that tight. Anyone have that problem? I might try to put a long thin spacer in behind it on the bottom. The doors are adjusted tight and even to the cab. These seal were inexpensive and I'll have to replace them again when I paint the jams.

I have never ordered from DC. I did look over prices and began to think I could buy a new truck for less money. I haven't compared prices with any other supplier including what may still be available from Ford dealerships. I have a 1972 F250 Custom. Does any one know if these prices are "reasonable and customary"? If a chrome part falls off my truck on the road, I could probably afford to hire a private detective to look for the part at least a couple of days before it would no longer be cost effective!
