I still don't think it is an engine miss. I can floor it (brakes on or off) and not get it to miss. It happens at about 34mph to 45 as I am slowly accelerating. Whatever, it seems to be getting better - so I'll drive it some more and maybe put in a small red tube of Instant Shudder Fixx (also a Lubegard product).
As to the electrical - the rotor/cap were changed 6 months ago (NAPA Gold), the plugs a year ago (Autolite 24), the wires (ever?). I ordered new Motorcraft ASF32C plugs and Motorcraft wires and will change them out.
Interesting what you can get on Amazon these days. I ordered the plugs from there (in stock via Murray) while my local dealer would have charged me twice as much and would have to order them.
Well, if its getting better after the fluid change then it probably is a converter shudder. The Instant Shudder Fix is GREAT stuff. If that doesn't cure it within a day, then you will have to change the converter, or it is indeed a miss.
