Looking to swap motors in a 68. Found a truck with a 352 that I thought was a 360. The 352 is already rebuilt (by someone else) and ready to go. Is the 352 going to swap right out with 360? How much performance loss between the two?
I have owned several 360's and thought this was the same when I looked at it quickly in the dark. Looking in the light it clearly has 352 stamped on the block and the guy said it was a 360.
I have a c6 to bolt up to it and now I am wondering if that will work as well.
I like my FE360's and do not want to make a mistake by putting in something that may not be as solid as I have no experience with a 352.
Thanks.
yep....the 352 stamped in the block doesn't really tell you anything....to know what engine it is you have to measure bore and stroke. It's pretty easy to measure the stroke and decide which crank you have...it's most likely a 360 or a 390 and you'll see the difference in the stroke.
