ranger flareside / stepside

I have a 1989 ranger ex cab short box, will a stepside box off like a 93 or so ranger bolt right up? I need a different box due to rust, and im just curious of the swap can be done, something different, thanks

If you could find one from your year it would. I dunno about different years though. Changes in body and all that.

did they make a flareside ranger in 89?

I just seen a picture of an 89 with a 2000 stepside bed on it and it looked good, I know its possible to put it on, just wondering if anyone new if it bolts right up or not.

The Rangers did not have a flareside until 1993. I do believe that a flareside bed will bolt up. One thing you might want to look at though is the body lines not matching up but, with the flareside (Splash) bed they may be far enough away to not be too noticable. If you decide to go this route I would like to see pics. Good luck
