So can anyone recommend a place to get a power tuner/chip installed in the Grand Island/Tri-cities area? My truck gelled up last week and when it was in the shop they informed me the previous owner had thousands of $$ worth of Banks equipment (exhaust/turbo plumbing/intercooler etc.) installed but removed the chip prior to sale!
Its an '03 F550 7.3L CC 4X4 - my 1st diesel so its all foreign to me - Id like to find a shop I can trust when it comes to maintenance etc.
cln2po... I can probably set you up if you ever get over to the Omaha area or if you would want it shipped (either way the chips and burns come from Florida). Otherwise the only diesel shop I know of is Widick's in Fremont.
Welcome to the forum. So is your truck running all right now. As far as shops go I am not in your area but hopefully you can ask diesel owners what they prefer an trust. So idi the shop you take your truck I take it you werent to impressed with them. Please feel free to comment on our Nebraka forum an be feel to express your opinion on here. Good Luck
I was working in Lincoln when the truck gelled up. Fortunately Husker Automotive was adjacent to the hotel I stayed in. They were GREAT guys and got me taken care of - kept the truck in their shop overnight, replaced the fuel filter and checked all my turbo plumbing for leaks. Price was very reasonable and they informed me of thousands of $$ in aftermarket parts I didnt even know were on the truck when I bought it!
I'd just like to find someone locally (tri-cities) if possible.
New to the FTE forum, I just picked up an 01 V10 Super duty and love it, just need know what is normal for noises, vibrations, I love it so far. My name is Ryan, I work for UP, am into off-roading (rockcrawling), I have an 89 Jeep cherokee, and a street car, 90 LSC, supercharged and pretty heavily modified. If their ever was an Omaha meet, would like to get to know some of the other FTE members.
Hey Ryan, Welcome to the party !! We'll have to work on having a get together, our chapter leader, Rob, has been threatening to abandon us if we don't have one! Stop by often, someone is usually here. I have an '06 Power Stroke, so I can't help ya' too much with the v10, but I don't know of too many problems with the motor.

Hey Ryan,
Thanks for stopping by! Sounds like a nice truck, hopefully we'll get to see it at the next meet. Hope to hear more from you here in the Nebraska chapter forum!
Yup! I am here (once in a while at least). I live west of Firth (south of Lincoln) My interest here is primarily in the early Bronco. No, I don't one yet... But I am getting some ideas here for a project. Currently I gotta get some of those irons out of the fire so that I can sneak in a couple different ones...
Welcome to the forum Dick. There is usually one of us here yakking about something. And, hey, maybe we can keep an eye out for that Bronco your looking for!
