Welcome Strokerin to the NE forum. Another sled puller thats great. Definitly a few here in the Nebraska forum. What have you pulled in the past as far as trucks are concerned an how long have you been doing it. Nosy me wants to know. Steer wrestling an team roping are things I enjoy watching. Sorry Im not a tough enough guy to participate. If you have a digital camera Id love to see that truck project your workin on as well as your stroker. Be sure to check out the truck pullers thread here on the Nebraska forum. You probably already have. Be seein yah on that boards. Feel free top post here on the Nebraska forum. More input the better.

Thanks. I'm relatively new to the sport. I've only pulled a few times, but I guess you could same I'm hooked (pun intended). I've only pulled the stroker so far and usually get in the 270-290ft. range. Always enough to win my class. I'll be putting a few pics in my gallery one of these days. The project will probably end up being a slow one, but that just makes them all the more worthwhile when they get completed.

Name: Arthur Brownlee IV (ed)
Location: Ashby (60 miles east of Alliance)
Living: IT Consultation, mechanic, working on becoming Highway Patrol Narc.
Trucks: 1979 Chebby K10, 1983 Bronco, 1993 F150 (sold)... Looking for a 78-79 f150.
Hobbies: motorcycling, ATVs, paintball, computers, gaming, gunsmithing, picking my nose.
I'm looking to start a 1978-1979 4x4 F150 project after the Sturgis Bike ralley this year. What I hope to do is have a mild suspension lift (2.5-4") running 31-33" all-terrain tires. A turbo-charged, fuel injected, smooth running, 300CI straight six that will buy me a decent amount of power while not killing the bank every fillup. Also, the truck will be very mundane on the outside, most of the chrome will not be present and it will take after the look of the current XL model superduties with the "boring" black plastic trim.
Interior wise, I am looking to go all digital dash, with a built in media center for the radio/dvd/navigation/mp3/CD. Probably using a 7-10 inch touch screen fixed into the actual dash. Everything inside will be dark colored, mostly grays and blacks, with some chrome trim to highlight the accesories. A/C and window tinting will be a must.
As far as the rest, I'd truly like to find a supercab. However, I am going to settle if I can find a single cab in good shape.
This not being my first turbo project, or first truck project, I am going into it with a good amount of previous experiance and looking to make a quiet running, quick, fuel efficient, modest pickup that people love to take trips in.
Plus I need something odd to haul my odd motorcycle around in as well lol.

I have a '70 F100 Super Custom 4X2 and a '96 Explorer XLT that I am doing some fixing up on. I have the engine running good on the '70. Just have some body work. Would like to put a different tranny as I don't have an overdrive.
Looking forward to getting involved in the Nebraska Chapter.
