Hey whats up?
I'm Chris from Weston, NE, bout 7 miles west outta Wahoo or 30 miles north of Lincoln. I work as a mechanic at Swanson Ford in Ceresco, so if you talk to me to long you may never wanna own a ford agian, lol, but every car company has it's stupid moments, ford's just going through some bad years of diesel engines just like chevy with there 6.2 and 6.5, not to mention their 350 diesel, but other then that I'm all for truck pulling, but... my plans fell through for getting a house with a nice shop this winter so my pulling truck ain't gonna make it to the track, it was a shame to, just short a transfer case and I coulda had it together this winter, but o well, I got my pulling tractor to paint instead (we'll see if I get around to it) I'm not sure if I should rebuild it while I'm painting all (1958 Farmall 460 Diesel)

Hey Chris, welcome to the chapter! There are some guys who hang out in here that are pullers (CBSUPERDUTY being one), so maybe they'll chime in. So far, I've been lucky with my 6.0, no complaints!

Again, welcome!

lol, you are lucky, you've got one of the later ones, so they were a little bit more advanced, less head problems, but you may be looking a turbo taking a /;'t someday, on the replacements the wastegate is completely eliminated b/c it was about pointless, the 6.0's look great to work on compared to the 6.4's, but on the 6.4's ur suppossed to be able to pull the whole body off in a hour and you have to, to do anything over a simple service job.
Thanks for the invite, and I'm lookin to get into pulling and just that, (I was gonna make a pullin/mud drag truck) but both the mud drags close to here are now ended, so that sucks, oh well, me and the guys have more fun just running a convoy of trucks accross the county when it snows or rains real bad, head down the minnium maintanice roads

Hey every one. Just wanted to introduce my self. I'm Marty Moon From Lincoln. I am a firefighter/paramedic for the city of Lincoln. I own a 2007 Expedition. My last vehicle was a 2002 Expedition. The list of Fords goes on and on. Explorer, 93 Bronco, 93 Taurus SHO. Great car. 87 Tempo that made 230,000 miles and didn't burn any oil. Put one clutch in it at 180,000 miles. That car got 40mpg. My favorite was the 69 Bronco half cab, and 67 mustang. I have only owned 2 non-Ford vehicles. A Chevy Trailblazer, and Chevy Equinox. That is because my wife wanted them, and SHE drives them.
Just wanted to say hi!

Hey Marty,

Welcome to the chapter! I own a 2000 Expedition myself (wife drives it). Do you still have the '67 mustang, if so, we could just about start a '67 mustang club from the guys in here! My '97 F-150 is at 187,000, I'm gonna keep it and see if I can hit 250,000. Again, Welcome!

Guess I should introduce myself. My name is Shawn and I live in Bellevue. I bought an '05 King Ranch CC 6.0L PowerStroke with 45,000 miles on it back in March. It replaced my 2000 V-10 SuperCab after it was totaled in an accident after that blizzard we had.

I love it. I love it. I don't tow anything yet, but I hope to in a few months. I just love the sound.

Ill post a picture if I can figure out how...

EDIT : My gallery is up with a few pictures.

Hey Shawn,

Welcome to the Chapter! I have an '06 deisel and I love it also (except for the price of diesel right now !!). Best way to get pics up is to create a gallery in your user cp. Let us know if we can help, and let us know when you get them up. Again, Welcome!!

True. That truck saved my wife and 6 month old. She was hit by a honda doing about 40. I was doing about 40 too......sideways.

I love my new truck, though. Just wish I would gotten it under different circumstances.

I'm glad everything came out okay with that. That is why my wife has an Expedition. I won't let her drive anything smaller. If I had my way, we would have gotten an Excursion! Nothing like a tank to protect her and the kids! But, she won't even drive my Super Duty. Too big, she says!

Hey all, My name is Fritz and I am from Lincoln. I really enjoy working on my various automobiles, but my 5.0 in particular. I like spending time with the signifigant other. other than regular guy stuff(hunting fishing cars and beer) i guess here is a like of my car/truck
2001 Ford F250 4x4-V10. She has the lariet package and just a few asthetic things(grill exhaust fender flares(soon). It is a fairly new(to me) purchase 117,000 on the clock. So it has been keeping me pretty busy with all of its little kwerks
1990 Ford Mustang 5.0 She has a rebuilt 306 motor, mostly stock with headers/full exhaust. I have 18" cobra R's with a silver paintjob. It has 1996 saleen leather interior-so it is a pretty sharp car, minus the driver side fender bender So my plans for her are to fix the body damage, put some AFR165 heads on with a Holley Systemax intake-along with supporting mods(Maf throttle body injectors fuel pump etc.)
So that is what I am about along with halo and bs'ing with the roomate-thanks for letting me join the chapter and I look forward to some good times!
