floor protection

hi all,
my interior is nasty from lots of mudding and i am looking to replace it. i was thinking about getting some sort of vinyl full floor protection for easy cleaning. Iwas wondering if anyone has anything like this. if so how does it fit?, look?, and block road noise/insulate?, and what brand you have? I was also thinking about rhino lining but was worried about it getting tacky in the hot summer. any input would be greatly appreciated. pics would be great too if any one has.
thanks alot,
John

Rhino lining is your best bet. Unless you have alot of rust then you need to fix that first. And in the hot summer it won't get tacky. At least I never had that prob with it in my truck bed.

Nice if you don't ever plan on getting the inside wet or having to hose it out. Would trap water under it like a regular bed liner. Depends on your needs.

I would be careful with vinyl. I drove a truck with a vinyl floor for about a week offroad. Although it stayed pretty clean and looked nice it seemed like water could easily get traped under it. I would go with the bedliner. That will last a long time aswell.

good luck

MBB Bronco has a nice write up on how he Rhino Lined his Bronco:

I'd definitely go with Rhino lined interior, I plan to do mine soon.

I plan on doing that to my 88 XLT that I recently bought. That will be a summertime project, while I determine what else I want to do to body. My oldest brother works in a salt mine down in Texas and he said they rhino'd the outside bottom half of the body too. They have a 99 truck that doesn't have any rust where they put the rhino at. Who knows, maybe I'll get REAL creative and do the underbody too.

other alternatives

There are other cheaper alternatives than the Rhino brand also. Some you can do yourself (roll-on vs spray-in). Some examples include Herculiner, line-X, durbak, and Superliner. I plan on doing my entire truck...probably go with Durabak. Check out the company websites to see examples. DO NOT USE VINYL!!! For many reasons listed above!
