drag link or wheel problem?

drag link or wheel problem?
im at the spot where i finally got my truck (49 f-1) off blocks and as usual have found a few snags. my left front tire, on a hard left will rub on the drag link. i hope that a offset on my wheels will fix. the wheels i got on it now i have no idea where they came from. has anybody had this prob?

Assuming you have a stock axle, drag link, and steering box, whether the tire rubs will depend on the wheel and tire width, wheel backspacing, and the adjustment of the steering stop. You can adjust the steering stop so the tire doesn't rub as long as you are satisfied with whatever turn radius that leaves you with. Otherwise, you're looking at a different wheel offset or a different (narrower) tire.

The 48 - 50 (I of know for sure) were built with a different turn radius for left turn vs right turns, I assume this was due to drag link clearence. I would imagine all the straight axle Fords, with drag links are the same way.
