What are you trying to accomplish with your compression test? Is it burning oil? Do you have a miss? Blue smoke? It sounds pretty typical for an engine with many miles on it. However, your compression is a little on the low side, but that can be caused by a multitude of things that have NOTHING to do with the internal components of the engine. Did you take all the plugs out on the test and are all the cylinders within 10 percent of each other? I need a little more information.....

Thread moved to " 385 Series-6.1/370, 7.0/429, 7.5/460" tech forum. Should be more resources here for the question at hand.

It is likely fine. It seems a little on the low side, but all cylinders have really close readings to each other and that is good. My 78 had about 90-120 before I rebuilt it. Now it has 145-150, but it has higher compression ratio (10.5:1) than before. Not to mention that it is new. The compression ratio in your engine was 8.4:1 from the factory.
