1993 F250 hd with 235K. Converter was replaced at 109k because of chatter,Fluid changed 4 times. Works perfect. Now my truck has not been abused like many others out there. I rebuilt transmissions for many years. In the 70s and 80s I was doing chevy 350 turbos at 3 to one for every one else. Every one likes them. Those were getting about 50k and that was it. The main thing is to keep them cool. If it dont have a cooler, put on on. Make sure you clean the debris from your radiator yearly. Change the fluid as maintence not when it gets dirty. My truck carried a 2k box for the first 200k and was driven short trips every day. The next 30k was carring a 12 fot slide in camper. I would guess it would last another 100 k.
Hey . I got an e40d in my 94 truck . Bought truck at 50000 rebuilt trans 122000 . Blew up trans I meen splattered it .125000.Law suite. And second one holding up good. But
Had 93 bronco (bought new) 33" mudders lockers Had been swamp so bad it took semi wrecker to get it out . But when I sold it at 178000 miles motor and trans still going strong . Get good ones and bad ones in everything but maintenence is everything. P.S. 95 /96 year Ford had most bugs worked out of the trucks . Guess thats why they changed them.
