Question 1977 F-150 Value?

Hello all, I bought my 1977 f 150 ranger longbed about 6 months or so ago. It is a really clean truck but by no means a show truck. Just a very reliable good solid rust free truck. Its got the 302 engine, no smoke or leaks, the trans was rebuilt before I got it. It drives straight and I really do like it. I have added a pioneer cd player, 4 new pioneer speakers, new custom door panels, cobra cb radio and pa. It has a receiver trailer hitch nice goodyear tires, the previous owner repainted it at some point as well as redid the interior. It gets horrible fuel mileage though. 9-10 mpg. Rebuilt carb too. Just a big peice of steel I guess. Anyways, I was offered $3,500 for it today. That seems like a lot of money for an old truck. Should I sell or keep it? Its always nice to have money but than again I need a truck to haul stuff around too. Should I sell and buy a newer truck or need this old beast? Any comments?

Its a hard decission for me. Thanks. Afew pics in my gallery.

depends how much you like the truck, if it doesnt mean anything to you sentimentally or its just as good as any other year ford truck then sell it and get a newer one with better gas mileage, Myself i wouldnt sell it because i feel those are the nicest trucks ford ever made.

yeah the old ones are easy to work on, if you really love the truck and the gas mileage doesnt bother you that much then keep it. Newer doesnt mean better, with new trucks you cant work on it yourself really with the efi, they get better gas mileage, but the older ones get really bad gas mileage however you can work on them yourself.
