Hey I am moving back to Billing in 3 weeks, and I am trying to make some connections with people who have these year of trucks. I have a 77 f250 4x4. It has a 429 thunderjet out of a 71 thunderbird. the body is a 2wd, and the chasis is a 78. np435 205 trans d60 in back d44 in front. I have nicked named it johny cash after one of his songs. it has a long ways to go but Im working on it. I just got the some wiring out of the way and my trailer wires back to gether and will be making the journey from cody to billings. I am planning on getting pics up but that will come to.

The song wouldn't be "One Piece at a Time" would it?

I see you're in Cody, I like that town and try to make it down there at least once a year.

Hey, I am not from Billings, but I am in Bozeman, not too far away. I have a 73 F-250 2 wheel drive with a 390 that I am rebuilding as we speak. I have replaced everything major except the trannie and the body (don't have enough money for the paint job yet) Manual transmission and 3.30 gears in the rear end. Good luck with the project!

I like the grilles on the 73-74 trucks...

Welcome to FTE!

Your profile says you teach hunter safety classes... I do too, are you planning on going to the statewide instructor meeting in Lewistown July 6-7?

I got mine for free, my dad paid $200 for it and gave it to me...I've put a lot of money and work into that truck. One of my dad's renters bought the truck and traded bodies with his 4x4, thing is, he didn't have a bad body to begin with, just a little rust on the passenger side door.

BTW, I processed all the new applications for membership into the chapter.

Matter of morbid curiosity.... how many members we have now? And to save some time for Matt, what I used to do was this... when I was the CL of the Drifters.

I'd like to personally welcome each and every one of you new folks to the largest chapter in FTE. Why the largest? Well, by my figures, we just cover the most danged territory of any of the chapters. We have a great bunch of folks in the group, even though this isn't the heaviest posted chapter in FTE. If you get a wild hair... check out our store and the store thread..to inform you a little about it. Lots of work went into our logo and we are proud of it. The store is non-profit to us...keeps the costs down. Anyway..nuff said bout that. Welcome aboard, everyone.
