Howdy!.... I changed mine out on my 68 F-100 last year. Check the rubber on the entire window, if you're going to tear anything appart, you might as well replace all the channels and rubber. Things get brittle with age and theres no sense in......as I always say, polishing a turd. I didn't think it was all that bad except for the vent window. I used a 68 Shop manual Vol 3 which came in really handy because of the pictures! The vent window is a booger to get out and back in. Be careful when you're loosing and moving anything that supports that window because there is a chance it might get away from you. Here's the removal steps straight from the book. I didn't want to take up to much space, when you want, I'll post the installation steps also.
Removal:
1. Remove the 12 door trime panel retaining screws and remove the door trim panels.
2. Remove the adjusting nut and washer which retains the division bar run to the door inner panel.
3.Remove the screw which retains the vent assembly to the door inner panel at the belt line.
4. Remove the 3 vent assembly-to-leading edge of the door window frame screw.
5. Lower the door glass
6. Pull the weatherstrip part way out of the door window frame (dividsion bare area)
7. Tilt and remove the vent window and division bar assembly form the door
8. Separate the run and retainer from the vent window assembly
9. Remove 2 vent upper pivot-to-vent frame screws
10. Remove the retaining nut and tension spring from the vent glass retainer
11. Separate the vent glass retainer and the pivot stops from the vent frame and weatherstrip assembly
I can scan the exploded picture if you need it and email it to you. Hope this helps and good luck.

I also had a 79 Bronco.....I think the anti-rattle on that was really simple, it just clipped in. But that was many moons ago and I have since sold it.
