anyone here bid on this???

well i came across this 7 days ago, right after it was listed. i mean when i found this, it had 6 days, 22 hours left on it. the bid at that time was $10.50, and i couldn't believe my eyes.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

with 55 seconds left, the bid was $130 something. i threw in my bid in the last few seconds, and i was outbid. i could go up to $405 on it, that was all my finances would allow, with getting that adapter needed. just wondering if anyone bid on this. i was hesitant to tell you FTE guys about this when i found it, because i knew alot of guys would be wanting it.

Sorry, it was me. I didn't want to tell anyone either, but I figured that someone from this site would have their eyes on it. I had a max bid of $500. Figured that would still be $175 cheaper than Beans after adapter and WW, and this one is new instead of rebuilt. At $407.5 I guess it's about $250 cheaper. Anyway, I needed something now because my HTPS is on it's last leg.

Is diesel innovations the cheapest place to get the adapter and WW? Also, Beans told me that I only need the WW. However Bob at dieselsite tells me that I need the ATS and the WW. Sure would be cheaper without the ATS housing. Anyone?

Schmity - I don't see why you would NEED both - they are both purely meant to stop surge. I have the WW alone, and it totally cured my surge.

if you get the ATS housing you DO NOT need the WW. if you are trying to get the most out of the turbo leave the stock wheel in and put on the ATS housing. the stock wheel will move more air then the WW.

It's intuitive to me that the stock wheel would be better than the WW. I was thinking I would just get the ATS housing and not change the stock wheel. I can't see how all the whistling and whooshing from the WW would make it more efficient. Beans, however, told me that the WW would move more air, which got me all confused. Just curious what everyone thought on this site.

I was told by Alan, owner of the truck "White Lightning" here in CO that the best way to do it is leave the stock wheel and go with the ATS housing. The stock wheel moves more air than the WW. You also have to think ahead of what your plans are with the truck....towing, racing, pulling, etc and think about that when doing these upgrades.

I'm primarily interested in towing. Why would that make a difference as far as the WW and ATS housing are concerned?

Main thing about planning ahead is to not duplicate items, no need to spend money on something you are just going to take off in a short amount of time to upgrade again.
