Man that truck looks familiar......Might be a member here. Looks like a nice truck, appears to have all the support systems in place for the power mods. Should be a very nice rig.
nice looking truck. But what throws up a red flag for me is, why whas the motor changed at 100,000? that is when they are just getting broke in good. Just by guessing, using the mods he has installed, he has flogged the snot out of this truck. Who was the motor rebuil;t by??
Are you able to go see the truck in person? if not, i would step away and try to find something local that you can see in person, test drive, take it to a mechanic you trust to go over it.
Thanks for all the advice guys. Everyone here in this forum seems really friendly and full of information.
I think I am going to walk away from this one. Not just because its in Texas and I am in Arizona, but because I want to put the mods on my truck and make it my own custom way.
As said above, it takes ALOT to smoke one of these engines at 100,000 miles?? Bad maintenance(which makes you think about other parts of the truck that have been neglected) or hot-rodding all the time to show off for his buddies (he says he is going away to college)or something worse???
Just my opinion though.
The truck looks good. The only thing I would worry about is the suspension its self. I didn't see any info on the lift or shocks in the add(not a good sign). Usualy they will say if its a suspension lift, body, or whatever. If the lift wasn't done right you can have alot of problems in the future. Also who puts in 4:10's when running 38's? Seems alittle undergeared?? Besides that it looks like a sick truck.
