Is there an easy way to remove the interior engine compartment cover?
Looks like a few other dash components need to be removed.
What am I missing here?
no other dash parts need to be remove if you want to twist....i usually take out floor cup holder
snap buckles up high on each side of dog house
watch out for sharp edges on metal
On my 93 aerostar you just have to remove the two nuts that hold on what I think is an amp for the radio. It hangs by a bundle of wires and then you can pull off the large carpeted cover. It is tight but once the little black box is off to the side it is fairly easy to get off the carpeted cover. It is impossible without removing the little back box.

Thats the antilock brake controller, but yes it does make it easier to remove a few items, no real trick, I try to keep the top of it pushed out and the same when refitting it, use the top of it to slide the cover back in as it fits into a gap between the dash and the tunnel, I'm sure everyone has there own way on doing this though.
Always interested in hearing how to reach that B*******. Can you share????
Hi Cook:
I think he meant it as a joke along with his picture (everything around the engine was gone). Don't get your hope up about that plug. It still requires a blood sacrifice, especially your own.

That's the same picture you sent me. Very funny with your A* up in the air like that. If I do that, I'm sure someone in my family will take advantage of the situation and give me a couple of whacks.
