is it possible to convert a solid front axle on a 1978 F-150 from 4.10 gear ratio To 3.08. is there kits still available to do this conversion if it's even possible?
what do i all need to do this conversion
you also need a carrier. the high ratio carrier its 3.92+ and the low is 3.73 and down.
just wondering what condition is the carrier and the gears in? and what do you plan on doing with them?
I got a 1994 F-150 4x4 truck with the TTB in front and i want to switch to solid axle. My back end has a 3.08 gear ratio, but back in 1978 they didn't have 3.08 diffs.
If i got to swicth the back end out to one that matches the front axle then i got to change the tranny over to so the truck will drive at a normal speed. Any suggestions would be apreciated.
