Ben,
Doncha just love the local govt. around here; sales tax here, toll increase there, DMV fees off the charts, housing...well, you know. Kinda makes ya wonder what the he11 we're doing here. I'm out in the east bay and can't wait to be formerly from CA.
90% of the socialist insanity in the Bay Area is the fault of the voters, especially the ones in San Francisco that are OK with forcing others to pay higher taxes, fees and tolls, but sqeual when Muni proposes increasing fares that will still not match what people pay in other large cities.
For regular vehicles its .80 without the IPass .40 with. I know my dad with his F150 and a single axle trailer costs about 1.75 no matter what each time.
When I roll through an ipass lane, I dont think it counts my axles, whether I tow a trailer or not. I could be wrong though.

I'm not talking about the Open road tolling. Before they started putting those in on the 294 you had to go through the pay as you go. and the worker there counted axles.

Crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel is $12 to get over it once and if you come back over it again withing 24 hours (with reciept) its only $5 on your return trip. I think the whole thing is 19 miles long and winds are very gusty. The speed limit is 55 the whole way and it goes from two lanes to one as you enter both tunnels. Seagulls are probably the worst problem though. Theres about 100,000+ of them and they will crash into your windshield.
I love driving that bridge because it means I'm going on vacation
One time, on a trip to OBX, there was an accidendent at the south end of one tunnel, and we were going the other way. They closed off the tunnel until they could clear it all out, but in the meantime, I was in the middle of the tunnel with other traffic that was just behind the crash and underwater with almost 100 other people. Everyone turned their cars off (normally a good idea when stranded in a tunnel) and we played football in the other lane. We were under there for about an hour. Kind of a cool experience I guess.
Did you know that that bridge is so long that when they originally surveyed the site, the tripod (transit) had to sit over 100' in the air due to the Earth's geometry?
