Bumper mods

My lower valence was destroyed and I removed it. Here is the truck:

So I have had some ideas and thought of fabricating something myself. Here is what I drew:

I really havent thought of the specifics but I am looking for any advice I can get. I was going to make the main tube from 2.5" pipe and the other pieces either the same or slightly smaller. I was going to fill in the center area with diamond tread to make sort of a skid plate (the verticle pieces dont go straight down, they actualy go back to the front part of the frame/crossmember). I was going to try to build something myself but If I want the main peice to follow the curve of the bumper I might have to go somewheres to have it bent properly. The main peice will sit just below the bumper and ahead of it a few inches, and I was going to mount 2 off road lights on it. Any thoughts?

You don't have a trans cooler in there do you? If so you may need a few vent holes.

Its a 5 speed. But it does have a smaller cooler near the bottom of the radiator, a/c I assume. I dont use a/c except for the hottest of summer days, but I should probably make sure there will be sufficient air flow in my design.

Bring it up just a bit higher to help improve approach/departure angles then also attach a flat piece of diamond tread so you can mount a winch.
