Power Window Problem
Now, my problem. I have A 2002 F-150 Supercrew FX4 Lariet that i have owned for a little over a year. My problem is that the drivers side power window wont move. I have been having this problem off and on for a few months. The window would stay up while i pressed the button, but after pressing the button a few times it went down. Now, the window is open about one inch and wont go back up. All of the others windows work fine. When i press the button to open the window i can hear a click coming from the lower left side of the dash behind the fuse panel. Is this a standard Ford problem, and if so, how do i fix it? I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to electronics and mechanics so if someone can just point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

I'd have to guess that you have a bad power window motor.
If you remove the door trim panel you can check for power and ground at the motor. It reverses polarity to move the window in the other direction. You can use a test light to check for power and ground at the motor. Put the test light's ground in one terminal of the connector and the probe in the other. The light should light when you press the switch in either direction.
You might want to tap the motor lightly and see if it goes again. Sometimes they will just have a bad spot.
My father-in-law had a Ford truck that had a bad motor in it. He kept a piece of 2X4 in his truck and would litterally smack the door panel with it when it got stuck. It went back to working but his door panel was in pretty bad shape after a few years of doing this!!! Guess he was just too lazy to fix it correctly.....
