Hi, I can get my hands on 2001 f-250 extended cab long box fairly cheap. It has 182,000 miles on the truck, it has 7.3 litre diesel with an automatic transmission. I just wondering if this still a preimere truck with power and realiabilty or if there is anything i should watch out for. My current truck is a 95 f-250 with a 460 ci and automatic, that has 245,000 mi. on it and it has worked great, so i'm not really afraid of the miles as long as it has the blue oval i Know I 'm pretty safe. I could just use a little more pulling power and i have never owned a deisel. So if sombody get back to me it would be greatly aprciated.
Thank You, Buddah

Welcome to FTE Buddah.
A lot can happen in that amount of miles. Or hardly anything at all, depends on how the truck was treated and where it was operated. If it spent it's life in the desert SW where there is virtually no rain and zero salt on the roads it will simply be nicely broken in with maybe needing a transmission rebuild. If it's a New York truck, it's done for, rusted out and needs to be scrapped.
Please provide as much detail as you can and we will try and answer your question.
