J Dahmer is full right with the copper thing. sooner or later that plastic will spring a leak, and you get a dash full of oil. Or worse yet, it gets weak in the engine compartment from exhaust heat and lets go, spraying oil all over your hot headers. Oh Oh!
i got it fellas alls i did was get a bag of ice and covered the sending unit with it and heated up the other parts and put the vice grips and it came off. ya the hex nut was really rounded off. the ice and torch trick was my buddies idea.

Better yet go rent the socket to remove it when your getting that copper 1/8'' tubing.. at auto-zone. It sounds like It's becoming the truck from Hell! A 30 minute job ends up 4 hrs+ and yelling all those 4 letter words and throwing your tools around the yard will not help. Your trying too hard. Relax man PS you may have to pull the fuel pump to get to get a wrench on base of it if the lager one. the small one there's a socket for it.. Hope this has helped you on some way.
