I don't know about the rest of you guys/gals, but I'm ready for the season to begin. Even though it has turned into the male version of a soap opera I'm looking forward to it. I joined a fantasy league this year, so hopefully I'll get lucky and pick some winning combinations. Anybody else in a fantasy league or wanna be?
I like watching the races and rooting for the Ford guys: Mark, Matt, Biffle, et al, but I sometimes wonder about the sport itself. I mean, NASCAR may be the only sport in which you can be the champion without ever winning a race. That just sounds odd to me.
no,you don't have to win one race, you just have to be consitant all year, which is harder than winning a single race. they do give a few more points for winning a race than they did under the old system, but if you only win one race,it probably won't make a difference in the outcome of the championship......and yes,i am ready for racing to start again!!...the only good thing about the superbowl every year is that in a couple weeks after that, the real sports season begins!!!
We're definitely ready for some racin' in my house. Been watching "Driver X" on Monday nights, and 'bout all the Speed channel racin' shows I can catch. Gotta have my "fix"...lol NASCAR sure ain't like it used to be (been following it since 1968) but what is these days? Never did the fantasy league thing. Really don't have time to mess with it so I just watch the racin', root for the ones I like and try to ignore the stuff I don't like.
Yeah, I've been a fan for a long time. I rooted for Bill Elliott when he was winning all the time and drivin' Fords. Now I hear he's drivin' a Chevy. Not quite sure what to make of that but I'm sure I'll root for Reed Sorenson (from Georgia ) even though he's drivin a Dodge.
I love NASCAR, I only wish they'd get back to the original sport, they did call them STOCK CAR racing didn't they. Nothing stock about the cars they drive now.
And hey, I'm a huge Ford man, thats all I'll own, and this is probably sacralage, but I'm a Jr fan. I miss his daddy though.
I will watch Daytona and some of the races, especially Bristol, but I've lost most of my interest with Rusty and Dale Sr. now both gone from the soprt.
a hole lotta flooring and turning left for 500 miles whats not to love. i like rootin for the young roush drivers, mostly kenseth though. although my girlfriend, my sister, and just about every other chick i know loves dale jr, i cant figure that one out.
