What's up with this, my truck has an Edlebrock Performer intake and Carb when i drive somtiems the rpm will stay high when i take my foot of the gas in neutral, but somtimes it just goes back down to idle, any ideas? It seems to happen randomly.
You might want to check your throttle linkage/cable for binding and also make sure the throttle return spring is installed and of sufficient strength. Depending on what air cleaner you are using, there's a chance the top of the throttle are could be hitting the bottom of the air cleaner????
The above reply was about the nylon cam behind the choke thermo coil, if the cam sticks it will not fall down by gravity and the steps will contact the fast idle adjustment screw. This will hold a fast idle on a warm engine. Make sure the whole choke assembly is free and not sticking, if not spray with a carb cleaner. Check the choke plate to see if it's fully open when the motors warmed up.

OK, so it seems like it only does it when i move it around at low rpm, if i'm at high rpm and take my foot off the gas it goes to a normal idle, but if i'm just going around slow it'll stick in faster light sombody slowly put their foot on the gas to that point.
