Does anyone happen to know where I could get me hands on The James Eikman Y Block rebuild book.. As far as I can tell this is the only book like this ever written and I can't seem to buy it anywhere because it is out of print...

 

I've only found it on E-bay. It goes for around $25 to $50+
Amazon has it listed for sale but last time I looked they wanted way to much for it.

Apparently, Dennis Carpenter Reproductions is selling them ,for about$20.00. I have this book and I would defenitely reccommend owning it. It has saved me a lot of grief when assembling the engine. There are , however, a few errors in the book that have never been corrected. The major one is the incorrect positioning of the timing chain on the gears. Between this book and the "y-block assembly errors" on John Mummerts y-block ford site, you will have all the bases covered. Hope this helps.

 

dennis has had this book for something like 2 years.people are paying close to a hundred on ebay for an old used book.its a sellers market.
