Replacing rear abs sensor on differential problem.
I had a bad abs sensor went out on me 3 weeks ago and finally got a change to replace it. (whew, driving with the abs warning light is embarrassing) I had the rear on jackstands. As I was trying to remove the wiring harness socket from the sensor I broke the wiring harness retainer clips that clips on to the sensor. It still seat in the sensor socket fine but with enought pull it can come out and I think with vibration from driving, it will make it come lose.
I know I can't be the only one who broke the harness clips on these fords. What did you guys do to keep the harness from coming lose. thanks for any tips
Motorcraft now carries wire pigtail repair kits. You might search the Motorcraft website www.motorcraft.com or better yet stop by the dealer. They should be able to look up the connector number and then you could just replace the connector.
