Question on Naviagation!

i know this topic has been over a few times.
Can the Expedition/ explorer navigatgion just pop right in and work with the steering wheel controls, and overhead DVD player?
only thing i think that may not work is the speaker set-up, i belive the Excursion has more speakers the the EXPI and Exploder. so im guessing you can just throw in a 6 channel amp to solve that lil thing.

that is the only problem i can see. has anyone done it this way yet? or any ideas on it?

I dont want an aftermarket head unit. i want a stock ford Navi that looks like it came with the Excursion!

i dont hbtink i have shown the board any pics yet
I will post my pics of my new fixed up ride soon enough.

usually the navigation radio is in a premium sound vehicle. I believe the harnesses are different.

Its not going to be as easy as you think...

If its ANYthing like the VW nav, they have a whole forum dedicated to all the different models, tricks etc. etc. etc. The first thing to do would be as KC said, get one in your hands and see if the harnesses hook up. Honestly I would get the DoubleDin Pioneer. I know you said you wanted OEM, but only gearheads will notice. Its even got green buttons If my memory serves me right. If not its going to be headache after headache. Though you could pay someone big bucks to figure it out for you.

I have the AVIC-D1 in my Excursion. Comes in really handy because I do on-site installations for customers.
