Side Exhaust Pipes...

Anybody here running side exhaust pipes on their truck, under the running boards? I'm wondering how it would look...

I tried looking at your pipes, cant get a good view, where do they start at and where do they end, I was trying to figure out the length I should get for mine?

mine start about 3-4 past the front and go to about6 inches from the back. there tucked up underneath and you just see the bottom half of the pipe. there mounted with the supplied strapps and bolted them to the runningboard supports. i also cut out recesses oout of the side of the runningboards for the tips. mine are 60 inches

Are yours going to be functioning pipes or dummys?

Summit carries quite a few different styles too. Are you just running straight pipes then, no mufflers?

Thanks, Ed. Yep, I'm really keen on the side dumps. In my gallery album "Running Board Mods", look at the last few pics. They show the latest encarnation.

I recently changed the mufflers to Dynomax Turbos. They sound really nice. The Flowmasters were just too loud for the neighbors. I go to work about 6:15AM. Warming it up, all the neighbor's bedroom lights used to come on.

See....thats the problem. You live in the wrong place.

You need to live next door to somone who is deaf without their cochlear implant. You could rev your truck all night with open pipes and it wouldn't bother them.

No the real problems is that the neighbors should be waring Ear plugs! and if they dont like it they can always move. Right? LOL

I got nothin but corn as neighbors, But corn does have ears!
