Total noob question, but how much of an effect will not having the exhaust hooked up? Exhaust manifold hooked up but no pipe after the manifold? My pipes are completely rusted and I broke the drivers side trying to replace the flange gaskets. I need to repair them but it might a couple weeks.
So besides being loud, will I notice any loss of power or rough running?
Well, I've got nothing against the dead but I'm in no hurry to join them either.
I was getting a lot of popping on deceleration and figured it had to do with exhaust leaks (from the aforementioned rusty pipes), I have some aftermarket headers I've been meaning to put on when I had the money for pipes. I guess I'll have to find the money now.

Sacramento Craigslist. Type in F100 parts. You might find a decent donor exhaust to get you by.
Nice weather we're having huh? Think we're in for a hot one this summer.
