Cruise horn gauges od lock out all do not work. Every time I put a fuse in it blows...obviously a short somewhere.
Does anyone have a diagram of the fuse panel?? All there is on mine is numbers with no legend.
It has just started to make a beep somewhere under the drivers side dash, sounds like it is coming from a box just beside the com port. (code reader plug) It makes 5 beeps in sets of 3. It must be some kind of alarm.....What the heck!
Where is a Clock spring available?? Is it and evil thing to replace?? I am ok with repairs...(i just changed both front wheel bearings)
Does any one else have listing and wandering problems with their Aero?? I would like to update the rear springs.....any suggestions with regards to overloads? Just put bigger spring?? (have had custom springs made before no big deal)
Pablo!! It is -31C here today....with about 35 cm of snow......15cm of new snow. The aero is not plugged in and will start first crank! Maybe order a battery from Canada!! lol
hew clock spring is dealer only, try auto boutique yard for used but short lived, easy to replace, see Autozone service instructions or Ferd cd.
adding rear sway bar and new rear springs with either hv duty air shocks or air bags is the way to go....can make it so stiff that upper teeth will jar out, solves the EXT rear tail drag and droop
use Aero forum search function, it's all been done and written about several times before
bright and sunny here, rain stopped, 55 d F today, headed to coast to play in sun
no cover.....lost along the way i guess. If i knew what else was on that circuit then i could narrow it down some more. I have all the manuals but cannot seem to find the legend which fuse is what circuit....
Maybe you''ve already fixed your problem but I replaced clock spring on a 93 aerostar. It was not too bad. To deal with the airbag I disconnected battery and let sit overnight. THerre is supposed to be a capacitor somewhere that can charge the airbag if it is triggered during removal so I wanted to give it time to discharge. ALso don't smoke a pipe while you remove airbag! Other difficulty was pulling steering wheel but that just required a tool I borrowed from checker auto. In my case the clockspring was just broken such that airbag light was always on, cruise control did not work, and horn did not work. I could see how it might fail in a way to give a short but think this is not as likely as an open. In other words I think it is likely something else might blow fuse but in the process of changing clockspring you might find it.

Kewl Thanks dano....I am going to tie into it on monday....see if i can order the part from the local napa dude and then take it from there. I rely on the van in the winter because it is the only 4 wheel drive vehicle in the yard.....
