please help with vin decodeing

this is what i do know about it
i do know it is a 89 F 250 2wd supercab long bed 7.5 v8 460 auto w/3 speed trans what i am looking to find out is what gear the truck came with from the factory i can not find the tag on the rearend also here is the vin if any one can help 1FTHX25G5KKB54629 thanx for any help

welcome to FTE 
it would be on the sticker on the drivers side door post. it will say axle code and then a number or number and letter under it. you could also jack up one side of the rear end put the tranny in neutral CHOCK THE WHEELS! and mark the tire and drive shaft, count how many times you have to turn the drive shaft for the tire to make 1 complete turn. 3 and a half turns is 3.50:1

sorry! i read the post wrong i thought you said gears as in rear end gears and not gear. what info specifically are you looking for? drive train info will be on the sticker on the door post.

There is a VIN# decoder in the Tech articles.

Access is through the link in the bar near the top of the page.
The rear axle code is NOT addressed in the Vin #, you will need to post all the info from the Rating plate sticker
