Timing a 351W EFI

What is the proper procedure for timing a 351W efi? Since it doesn't have vacuum advance, the manual says to unplug the SPOUT connection, but doesn't give the location of this plug. Is this the connector that dangles off of the electrical connection to the distributor? This is a 1991 F 150 with 5.8L efi.

Yes, the SPOUT connector is that little connector off the distributor. Your era of trucks has the TFI module on the distributor. The newer generation has the TFI module on the drivers side fender.

Put the clip on the #1 plug, attach pos/neg, unplug the SPOUT, start it, time it, and you're done.
