This thread has probably been posted somewhere here before, but I'll post it anyway. Scroll down to the Hot rod cover and click on it; it will bring up an article about a "low buck" 351M/400 buildup. They got some big numbers from the 400, (the article applies to the 351M also) It's a few years old but the info should still be valid. It would be interesting to hear if anyone out there copied this buildup.www.geocities.com/infieldg/v8main.html
Actually, the 400 project engine that Tim Meyer put together is pretty close to what the Hot Rod build was with a few exceptions. He took the machine work a little farther than they did, but it was more in the interest of durability than power. The only thing he departed on, was the use of aussie heads, but the compression ratios were pretty close, they just went about attaining the ratio differently. The advantage of the aussie heads is quench, which allows for low octane fuel tolerance.
Don't know if your still looking, but this might help. My browser won't let me paste the link, but the website is called Bubba's M-Block Ford V8 Workshop. Just google Bubba's M block and you should find it, good luck
