overhead console screen
hey, i have a 2000 f250 cc 4x4, and my overhead console screen that displays the avg mileage, temp, compass, and miles left on tank went out, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get one other than the dealership, they wanted 400 bucks for the console and the screen, i'd appreciate it, thanks.

You can probably fix yours for free if you have a soldering pen and some solder wire (or around $10 if you need to buy these items).
Check out my gallery for a detailed description of how to do this and/or run a search on overhead console to find a detailed post of how to do this (both with photos).
If all else fails, you can probably find a good used one on ebay. I have an extra tan one (from before I discovered this site and how to fix it myself). If the self-fix doesn't work and you want it, send me a PM.
