I broke the selector lever in my steering column. Is it necessary to replace the entire column? Or can I just remove the wheel and blinker mechanism to fix my problem?
I have more questions to ask so I'll be popping up quite often on the board. I have a lot of work ahead of me with my project.
3 years ago i replaced mine... Ford still had the collar/casting in stock. take off the wheel and all the guts to expost 2 CAPTAVE bolts and the casting will come out(spring loaded BE CAREFULL). It was a MESS to get back together ..for me anyway

been there, done that, have the T-shirt. I used RTV to hold the bolts in place while tring to put the whole mess bach togeather. It seemed the best way to do it...also get a long telliscoping magnet for if...aaaa when you drop one or both of the bolts down the steering shaft.
TC you probably broke the column cuff and can get them from the Ford dealer of some of the after amrket guys. I bought one from Carolina Classics. Dennis Carpenter, LMC, those guys should have one also.
