Need help bad The (20 amp) fuse that is under the hood after the alternator keeps blowing as soon as I raise the RPM. Have replaced the alternator and still the same thing. I have gone through and done all the restance checks i could do. Has anyone every had this problem please help.
Make sure the battery is fully charged using an external charger.
That fuse is there in the feedback sensing circuit. The only thing it supplies is the regulator that is built into the alternator.
Inspect all the wiring around the alternator to the megafuse for any indication of an intermittent short to ground.
If nothing of interest is noted and the problem still happens after the battery is fully charged, I'd have to assume the replacement alternator is also defective.
