you can get brushes at www.pinstriper.com one shot lettering enamel can usually be found at art supply or auto paint stores. the rest of it is practice, practice, practice.
You can also search on eBay for painting stencils. I was looking for flame stencils and found a bunch of accent pinstriping (Van Dutch-like) stencils. Looked like they'd be pretty easy even for an amature. Eastwood also has some.
I live in North Austin, and there is supposedly a guy that works at Tattoo Zoo on N.183 near Lakecreek that does pinstriping. I recently got a tattoo there and he had just started as an apprentice. Might be worth a call to them.
Sounds like a good plan to me. I have a buddy that's got a shop just down from there too, Stingray automotive. He's got a couple of '57 Chevy's in there right now getting worked over for this weekends car show.
